Travis Lee Reeves 1936 - 2006
Services for Travis Lee Reeves, 69, rural Lawrence, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hardy Oak Cemetery in Jefferson County.Mr. Reeves died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, in Jefferson County.He was born June 28, 1936, in Gilbert, La., the son of Walter and Imogene Edwards Reeves. Mr. Reeves worked for Curtis 1000 Inc. in Texas and Lawrence for 35 years until the plant in Lawrence closed. He also worked for Pro-Print Inc. and Minuteman Press.He married Frances Patricia Jones on July 26, 1957, in Houston. She survives, of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Michael, Oskaloosa, and Mitchell, Baldwin; a daughter, Jennifer Reeves, Stilwell; two brothers, Walter, Houston, and Lloyd, Gilbert, La.; two sisters, Geraldine Wolf, Rosenberg, Texas, and Lona Martin, Bastrop, La.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.The family suggests donations to the donor's choice of charity, sent in care of the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
