Betty Lou Cannon 1934 - 2006

Graveside services for Betty Lou Cannon, 71, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. Mrs. Cannon died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at her home.She was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Lawrence, the daughter of William and Cora Smith Lee.Mrs. Cannon worked as a factory worker, cook, waitress, nurse's aid and homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day SaintsShe married Harold Cannon Sr. He died in 1974.A daughter, Dorothy Cannon, died in 1976.Survivors include six sons, Harold Cannon Jr., Richard Cannon, Thomas Cannon, William Cannon, Clinton Edwards and Paul Lee, all of Lawrence; two daughters, Billie Brouhard and Sharon Robinson, both of Lawrence; two sisters, Martha Lee, Lawrence, and Billie Greer, Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
