Lila Mae Anderson Reifel

Graveside services for Lila Mae Anderson Reifel, 95, Tallahassee, Fla., will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Clinton Cemetery.Mrs. Reifel died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in Tallahassee.She was born Dec. 2, 1910, in Clinton, the daughter of David Wesley and Lillie Lamb Anderson. She graduated from Kansas University in 1934 and received a Master of Arts degree from Western Kentucky State College in 1967. She was a former resident of Overland Park and moved to Tallahassee, Fla., in 1995.Mrs. Reifel taught fourth grade in Kansas public schools for 25 years. She published her memoirs, titled “Reflections,” when she was in her 80s. She was a member of Overland Park Lutheran Church.She married the Rev. Leonard Reifel in 1934. They divorced.Survivors include three daughters, Dolores Slyter, Preston, Md., and Nancy Swords and Norma Plumley, both of Tallahassee; a sister, Wilma Welch, Washington; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.A son, Ron Reifel, died earlier.D.W.
