Gerald Lynn Stone

Leavenworth – Graveside services for Gerald Lynn Stone, 72, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Leavenworth National CemeteryMr. Stone died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at the Medicalodge in Kansas City, Kan. He was born Oct. 5, 1934, in Thompson, Ohio, the son of Ralph and Helen Ritola Stone. He graduated from Thompson High School in 1952 and received a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant. He was a geologist and worked on the feasibility of the Minuteman missile program in Wyoming, Nebraska and Alaska. He retired as vice president of the Judy Co. in Edwardsville.Survivors include two sons, Lance and Linc, both of Tonganoxie; a daughter, Terry Brummer, Indianola, Iowa; a brother, Russell, Thompson, Ohio; a sister, Louise Weddington, Akron, Ohio; and four grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in TonganoxieOnline condolences may sent at www.quisenberryfh.com.
