Richard D. Pabst 1950 - 2006 Oakley

Services for Richard D. Pabst, 56, Oakley, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Colby. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Oakley.Mr. Pabst died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Citizens Medical Center in Colby.He was born Feb. 23, 1950, in Colby, the son of Hie C. and Eunice F. Garrett Pabst.Mr. Pabst was a farmer and worked for Miller farms in Colby.He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Colby. He also was a member and past president of Thomas County Farm Bureau Board and a 4-H leader with the Abilene Hustlers.He married Gloria Nichols on Nov. 8, 2003, in Oakley. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his mother, Colby; four daughters, Amy Pabst, Lawrence, Leah Hanson, Wichita, Michelle Selzer, Oakley, and Melissa Button, Topeka; a son, Mark Nichols, Bunker Hill; and two brothers, David and Darrell, both of Colby.Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home in Oakley, where a service is planned at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.The family suggests memorials to the Norman Yardley Cancer Fund, St. Joseph's School, Country Chapel or the church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
