Melva Opal Neuner 1920 - 2006 Belleville
Fairview Heights, Ill. - Services for Melva Opal Neuner, 86, Belleville, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.Mrs. Neuner died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at Mount Vernon Care Center in Mount Vernon.She was born Aug. 1, 1920, in Belleville, the daughter of John and Emily Palmier Amlung. Mrs. Neuner was a homemaker and loved to draw, paint and crochet.She was married to Andrew Joseph Neuner for 56 years. He preceded her in death.She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Phillips; her stepfather, Clarence Krause; and a sister-in-law, Pearl Neuner Morgan.Survivors include two sons, John Neuner and wife Jill, Mount Vernon, and Andrew Neuner and wife Donna, Lawrence, Kan.; two granddaughters, Kimberly Brien and Pamela Mrsich; four great-grandchildren, Olivia and Adam Brien and Morgan and Bailey Mrsich; a nephew, Russell Schleicher; a niece, Linda Doerr; a great-niece, Christy Baeske; and two special friends, Mary Cook, Swansea, and Irma Bosse.The family will receive friends from noon until services Saturday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to Family Hospice, 5110 W. Main St., Belleville, IL 62226, or the Alzheimer's Association, 9374 Olive Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63132.
