Eugenia Green Reardon 1923 - 2006 Lawrence

A memorial celebration for Eugenia Green Reardon, 83, Lawrence, will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. Mrs. Reardon died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born July 31, 1923, in Randall, the daughter of Eugene and Margaret Finley Green. Mrs. Reardon graduated from Kansas University School of Pharmacy in 1947. She lived in Lawrence since 1928.Mrs. Reardon was a pharmacist at Rankin Drug and Raney Drug in Lawrence. She retired in July 1985 after 30 years at Raney Drug Stores. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was previously active in Girl Scouts.She married John Richard Reardon on Sept. 27, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. He died Jan. 4, 1991.Survivors include a son, Shawn Reardon, La Mesa, Calif.; two daughters, Sheila Chaffee and Mary Lou Reardon, both of Lawrence; six grandchildren, Molly Chaffee Stuber, Katie Chaffee Alexander, John Chaffee, Brian and Kevin Reardon and Amy Reardon Olson; and seven great-grandchildren.
