Frank M. Muñoz 1915 - 2006 Topeka
Mass of Christian burial for Frank M. Muñoz, 90, Topeka, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Mater Dei Parish Assumption Campus in Topeka. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka. Mr. Muñoz died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at his home.He was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Iropuato, Mexico, the son of Ysidor and Marcota Montecino Muñoz. He moved to the United States when he was 3 months old.Mr. Muñoz worked in the coal shop at AT & SF Railroad for 34 years before he retired in 1977. He was a member of Mater Dei Parish Assumption Campus. He was married to Henrietta Hernandez. She died May 26, 1978. He married Juanita Juarez on Nov. 27, 1982. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include four sons, Frank Jr., Felipe, John J. and Joseph A.; four daughters, Cecila, Celia, Rita and Michelle; a stepson, John White, Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Theresa White; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a parish rosary at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home, 800 S.W. Sixth Ave., Topeka 66603.
