Lynn M. Modrzynski

A memorial Mass for Lynn M. Modrzynski, 54, Lawrence, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Rogers City. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Rogers City Area Senior Center.Mrs. Modrzynski died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, in Clinton Township after a 10-year battle with cancer.She was born Nov. 8, 1951, in Rogers City, the daughter of Bernard and Barbara Dehring Heath. She graduated from Rogers City High School in 1969 and the University of Detroit in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting.Mrs. Modrzynski and her husband briefly lived in Oklahoma and moved to Lawrence, where she worked as an accountant for Knight Enterprises. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.She married William Modrzynski on Aug. 4, 1973, in Rogers City. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include her parents, Sun City, Ariz.; a son, Joshua Ruth, Seattle; two daughters, Rachel Loder, Lawrence, and Sarah Ruth, Seattle; three sisters, Katherine Owen, Springfield, Ill., Mary Visner, Phoenix, and Dona Modrzynski, San Antonio; and a granddaughter.Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until services Saturday at the church.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Kansas University Medical Center’s oncology department.
