Dorothy U. Wachter 1918 - 2006 Pittsburg
Mass of Christian burial for Dorothy U. Wachter, 87, Pittsburg, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Frontenac. Mrs. Wachter died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at her home after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Pleasanton, the daughter of Enrico and Ena Purgatorio Matarazzi. She graduated from high school in Frontenac.Mrs. Wachter was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg.She married Andrew Wachter on June 21, 1941, in Frontenac. He died March 9, 1989. Survivors include three sons, A.J. and Bill Wachter, both of Pittsburg, and John Wachter, Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. today at Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, where the family will receive them after a rosary at 7 p.m. today.Online condolences may be left at <a href="http://www.friskel.com">www.friskel.com</a>.
