Phyllis R. Rathbun

Services for Phyllis R. Rathbun, 81, Geneva, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church of Geneva. Private interment is planned. Mrs. Rathbun died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield.She was born July 29, 1924, in Tars, Pa., the daughter of Howard and Irene Thomas Lowstetter.Mrs. Rathbun worked as a phlebotomist at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend, Kan. Her husband, Harry, died earlier. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Ann Rathbun.Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Weltmer, Geneva; two sons, John Rathbun, Lawrence, Kan., and Jeffery Rathbun, Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Jean Jaram, Ohio, and Norma Tebbs, Florida; and six grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Malone Funeral Home in Geneva.The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn., 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674, or United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St., Geneva, IL 60134.
