Jack L. Kuhn

Services for Jack L. Kuhn, 60, Greensburg, will be from 5 p.m. until dusk with remarks and prayer at 6 p.m. Saturday at the home of Patty and Marty Kennedy, 725 N.J. Mr. Kuhn died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Pratt Regional Medical Center.He was born Aug. 18, 1945, in Greensburg, the son of Louis Wallace and Thelma Lorraine Pyle Kuhn. He grew up in Lawrence, where he graduated from Lawrence High School in 1963. He attended Pittsburg State College, where he played football. He received a degree in business administration from Kansas University in 1968.Mr. Kuhn served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He graduated from Officer Candidate School in Fort Sill, Okla., in 1969. During the Vietnam War he was a second lieutenant with the HQ Battery 5th Battalion, 27th Artillery as a forward observer and received a Bronze Star.He worked for Kuhn Truck and Tractor Co. in Lawrence and later established Jack L. Kuhn and Son’s Cattle Co. and End Wrench Horses in southwest Kansas.He married Bonnie Marie Miscevich in 1972 in Kansas City, Kan. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Nathan J., Kansas City, Kan., and David H. “Buster,” Greensburg; a daughter, Amy Marie Kuhn, Dodge City; a sister, Patty Kuhn Kennedy, Lawrence; and a brother, Ed, Charleston, S.C.The family suggests memorials to the LHS Alumni Assn., Comanche County Hospital or Wounded Soldier Fund, sent in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O.
