William Clark “Bill” Anderson

Hutchinson – Services for William Clark “Bill” Anderson, 89, Hutchinson, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Hutchinson. Private family inurnment services will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.Mr. Anderson died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at his home.He was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Protection, the son of William and Fannie Clark Anderson. He graduated from Protection High School and Friends University in Wichita. He completed specialized training at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He was a longtime resident of Hutchinson.Mr. Anderson served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1943 to 1946 and attained the rank of lieutenant, senior grade. He worked for Prudential Insurance Co. from 1948 until he retired in 1973. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.He married Aileen Kissick on April 27, 1940, in Mount Hope. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Jeff, Lawrence; three daughters, Jan Dwyer, Joan Strano and Jill Foss, all of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.A grandson died earlier.Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson.
