Services for J L. Yeoman, 73, Fredonia, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Buxton Christian Church in Fredonia. Burial will be in Bachelder Cemetery south of Fredonia.Mr. Yeoman died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.He was born July 26, 1932, in Ashland, the son of Mark “Lee” and Gladys Marie Krebs Yeoman. He graduated from Fredonia High School.Mr. Yeoman served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was a self-employed cattleman and rancher. He and his family owned and operated Lazy JL Western Wear and Equipment for 21 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a life member of the Fredonia American Legion. He was a founding member of the Wilson County Fair Assn. and served on the rodeo committee. He also participated in the Pro Rodeo Assn.Survivors include his wife, Irma Yeoman; four daughters, Connie Evenson, Sandy Edens and Kim Fiscus, all of Fredonia, and Dava Spohn, Lawrence; a brother, Bob Yeoman; two sisters, Ramona Smith, Bucklin, and Christine Woodard, White, S.D.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Timmons Funeral Home in Fredonia.The family suggests memorials to the Wilson County Fair Assn. rodeo committee and the church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
