Frank Ray Stevenson

Services for Frank Ray Stevenson, 58, Lecompton, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the American Legion in Perry. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Lecompton.Mr. Stevenson died Monday, April 17, 2006, at his home.He was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Parsons, the son of Frank Wilbur and Nadine Brown Stevenson. He was raised in Dennis and graduated from Labette County High School in 1965 and Labette County Community College in 1967.Mr. Stevenson worked on farms and for the Fred Ronald Manufacturing Co. He was a sales executive for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. from 1973 until he retired in 2001.He was an active member of Lecompton United Methodist Church.He married Diana Riffel in 1974. They divorced. He married Carol McLees in 2000 in Lecompton. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his mother, of Parsons; two sons, Christopher, Topeka, and Jarod, Bonner Springs; a daughter, Jennifer Clark, Perry; a stepson, Timothy McLees, Christianburg, Va.; a stepdaughter, Sarah McLees, Lecompton; a sister, Peggy Shephard, Lindale, Texas; and nine grandchildren.Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.The family suggests memorials to Lecompton United Methodist Church or Dennis United Methodist Church, sent in care of the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at www.rumsey-yost.com.
