Mary Isabelle Jamison 1917 - 2006 Baldwin
Services for Mary Isabelle Jamison, 88, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Pleasant Grove.Mrs. Jamison died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Christian Care Cottage in Ottawa.She was born Aug. 31, 1917, in rural Douglas County, the daughter of Ezra L. and Bertha Helen Anderson Churchbaugh.Mrs. Jamison attended grade school in Willow Springs Township and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1936. She obtained a teaching certificate from Baker University.She was a teacher in one-room schools and later a substitute teacher in the Lawrence school district. She also was a homemaker.Mrs. Jamison was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Worden.She married Joe W. Jamison on Dec. 28, 1946, in Olathe. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, John R. Jamison, Kansas City, Mo., and Paul E. Jamison, Wichita; and a grandson.Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin 66006.
