John C. Maloney

Kansas City, Mo. – Services for John C. Maloney Jr., 84, Olathe, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Forest Hill-Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo.Mr. Maloney died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kan.He was born Oct. 8, 1921, in St. Joseph, the son of John C. and Jeanette Clay Maloney. He attended Westport High School.Mr. Maloney worked for Nelly Don, Snowden-Mize and the Catholic Bookstore, all in Kansas City. He managed the movie theater in Holton, Kan., during the mid-1960s. He was a member of St. James Church in Kansas City, Mo.Survivors include a brother, James O., of Lawrence, Kan., and several nieces and nephews.The family suggests memorials to Villa St. Francis, sent in care of McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W.
