James Lee Lambert 1935 - 2006 Emmett
Rural Hiawatha - Graveside services for James Lee Lambert, 70, Emmett, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Claytonville Cemetery southeast of Hiawatha.Mr. Lambert died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at his daughter's home in Emmett.He was born Aug. 13, 1935, near Claytonville, the son of Deaver and Gladys Young Lambert. He attended school in Claytonville and graduated from Hiawatha High School.Mr. Lambert worked with his family and operated a dozer. He also worked for Burlington-Northern Railroad. He retired as a heavy equipment operator in the mid-1980s. He was Catholic.He married Velma Blakley on April 7, 1960. She survives.Other survivors include a son, Vincent G., Willis; two daughters, Jolene Nocktonick, Emmett, and Jennifer Wolken, Lawrence; two sisters, Mary Lou Nigus, rural Robinson, and Addie Mae Lyons, Carlsbad, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.A son, Jamie D., died in 1984.The family suggests memorials to the Brown County Humane Society, sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.chapeloaksfuneralhome.com">www.chapeloaksfuneralhome.com</a>.
