Horace O. Clements

Graveside services for Horace O. Clements, 92, Gardner, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville.Mr. Clements died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at his home.He was born Jan. 15, 1913, in Queen City, Texas, the son of Charley L. and Thurley Lynn Clements. He moved from Olathe to Kilgore, Texas, in 1977 and later moved to Gardner in 1985.Mr. Clements worked in the Maintenance Department at Young Construction in Overland Park. He also worked for Suburban Lawn & Garden in Kansas City, Mo., and was a truck driver and fork lift operator for Red River Arsenal and Lonestar Ordinance Plant.He married Lois Eileen Johnson. They divorced.Survivors include two sons, Billy, Lewisville, Ark., and Odell, TexArkana, Texas; a daughter, Gay Sharon, TexArkana, Texas; two stepsons, Eugene and Marvin Dade, both of Kansas City, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Joyce Whitaker, Lafayette, La., and Connie McCarn, Houston; two grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday before the services at Bruce Funeral Home in Gardner.The family suggests memorials to Kansas City Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
