Hazel Hunter 1916 - 2005
Services for Hazel Hunter, 89, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. Burial will be in Clearfield Cemetery south of Eudora.Mrs. Hunter died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.She was born Feb. 28, 1916, in Wyandotte County, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Bertha Wiedenbush Benskin. She attended school in Wyandotte County.Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker.She married Dale F. Hunter on Jan. 29, 1974, in Miami, Okla. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include five daughters, Hazel M. Davis, Baldwin, Judy E. Degenstein, La Cygne, and Susan Woods, Nancy Freeman and Lori Tarwater, all of Wellsville; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice, sent in care of the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
