Theresa May Bauer 1916 - 2005 Leavenworth
A funeral Mass for Theresa May Bauer, 88, Leavenworth, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Casimir Church in Leavenworth.Mrs. Bauer died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, at Country Care on Broadway in Leavenworth.She was born Oct. 14, 1916, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Wadetski Schwartz.Mrs. Bauer was a member of St. Casimir Church and Eagles Auxiliary in Leavenworth. She was a member of various bowling leagues and won local and regional championships. She married Martin Bauer in 1936. He died Jan. 19, 1996.Survivors include two sons, Martin Bauer, Leavenworth, and Bennett Bauer, Saratoga, Calif.; three daughters, Theresa Vardiman, Leavenworth, Mary Ellen Wentz, Lawrence, and Barbara Bauer, Mountain View, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Ellen Wranich, Lansing, and Martha Atchley, Aurora, Colo.; a brother, James Schwartz, Centennial, Colo.; eight grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and seven great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Thursday at the church.The family suggests memorials to Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools, Country Care's Broadway Aviary or the University of Saint Mary, sent in care of Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, Sixth and Olive, Leavenworth 66048.
