Anna Elizabeth Meall

Services for Anna Elizabeth Meall, 92, Cawker City, were Sept. 22 at United Methodist Church in Cawker City. Burial was at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cawker City.Mrs. Meall died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Salina Regional Health Center.She was born March 16, 1913, on a farm near Cawker City, the daughter of Henry and Herminia Reling Moxter. She attended the Granite Creek Country School and graduated from Cawker City High School in 1930. She previously resided at Vintage Park Assisted Living in Baldwin. Mrs. Meall taught country grade school and worked at the cafe in Cawker City. She was a member of the Cawker City United Methodist Church, where she held several offices and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Home Makers Club, the Outlook Club, the Bridge Club and was a neighborhood charity chairwoman. She and her husband were members of the Waconda Swingers Square Dance Club.She married David Pace Meall on April 30, 1933. He died in May 1996.Survivors include a son, Bryan Meall, Minneapolis, Kan.; a daughter, Delma Hitchcock, Baldwin; a brother, Lawrence Moxter, Ellsworth; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials the church or the Hesperian Library Museum Fund, sent in care of McDonald-Roberts Funeral Service, 910 N.
