Henry A. Jockman 1920 - 2005 Ottawa
Services for Henry A. Jockman, 85, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona.Mr. Jockman died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa.He was born June 16, 1920, in Scipio, the son of Joseph and Adeline Peine Jockman. He grew up and attended schools in Scipio. He moved to a farm west of Ottawa briefly before he moved to a farm west of Pomona.Mr. Jockman was an active farmer and cattleman for 55 years until he retired in 1996. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa.He married Georgia A. Gifford on April 28, 1941, in Scipio. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Linda Rumford, Ottawa; a brother, Art, Garnett; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.A daughter, Diann Jockman, died earlier.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. before the services at the church.The family suggests memorials to the church, Amazing Grace Camp or the Gideons for Bibles, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa 66067.
