Roger Franklin Rule 1944 - 2005 Kansas City, Mo.
Services for Roger Franklin Rule, 61, Kansas City, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Apostle Church in Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.Mr. Rule died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, in Kansas City, Mo.He was born June 25, 1944, in Ottawa, Kan., the son of Homer and Doris Rule. He moved to the Kansas City area in 1973.Mr. Rule served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an accountant for HCA Research Medical Center since 1986. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Matthew's Apostle Church.He married Mary E. Walsh. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, John, Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Sheri Sanders and Jennifer Rule, both of Kansas City, Mo., Kathy Cross, Shawnee, Kan.; a sister, Elisabeth Scribner, Lawrence, Kan., and a twin sister, Ruth Smith, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Stan, Houston; and four grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church.The family suggests memorials to the Leukemia Society or the church renovation fund, sent in care of McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Road, Grandview, MO 64030.
