Adam Thomas Mersmann 1980 - 2005
Services for Adam Thomas Mersmann, 24, Lawrence, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. Cremation is planned.Mr. Mersmann died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at his home.He was born Sept. 19, 1980, in Lawrence, the son of Thomas C. and Patti J. Wiggins Mersmann. He graduated from Lawrence Alternative High School and was a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist. He attended Kansas University.Mr. Mersmann was a carpenter and worked for a local carpenter in Lawrence for five years.Survivors include his father and stepmother, Robin Gingerich, Lawrence; his mother and stepfather, David Butcher, West Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Aaron, Denver; maternal grandmother, Georgia Aldridge, Lawrence; and paternal grandfather, Clyde Mersmann, Lawrence.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. before the service.The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice, sent in care of the chapel.
