Virginia L. Wharton 1926 - 2005 Wichita
Services for Virginia L. Wharton, 79, Wichita, were Tuesday at Northridge Friends Church in Wichita. Graveside services followed in Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony.Mrs. Wharton died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, in Wichita.She was born May 17, 1926, in Lawrence, the daughter of Harry and Sybil Bowles Gregg. She grew up and lived in Lawrence before moving to Wichita.Mrs. Wharton was a homemaker. She married Jack Wharton. He died in 1999.Survivors include three sons, David Wharton, Centennial, Colo., Michael Wharton, Kansas City, Kan., and Donald Wharton, Arlington, Texas; three brothers, Jack Gregg, Charles Gregg and Dale Gregg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to Northridge Friends Church, 2655 Bullinger, Wichita 67204.Cochran Mortuary in Wichita was in charge of arrangements.
