Roger Dale King Sr.

Services for Roger Dale King Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield.Mr. King died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Christian Health Care in Hermitage, Mo.He was born Oct. 10, 1945, in Marshville, the son of Alfred and Ruth King. He was a former resident of Lawrence, Kan.Mr. King served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a diesel mechanic.Survivors include five sons, Roger D. Jr., Robert D., Fredrick L., Howard L., and Scott L.; a daughter, Wendy Lou Fountaine; four brothers, Willard and John, both of Urbana, Dwayne, St. Roberts, and Leo, Iola, Kan.; six sisters, Hazel Williams, Harvest, Ala., Rosalie Davis and Sue Banwart, both of Springfield, Bruxie Roach, Iola, Kan., Evelyn Atwood, Leroy, Kan., and Mary Massey, Hermitage; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
