Donald Dean Morris 1933 - 2005 Lawrence
Visitation services for Donald Dean Morris, 72, Lawrence, will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be in De Soto Cemetery.Mr. Morris died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.He was born Oct. 13, 1933, in Columbus, the son of James Michael and Fern Irene Smith Morris. He graduated from De Soto High School in 1951 and attended Kansas University. He moved from Austin, Texas, to Lawrence in 1986.Mr. Morris retired after worked 35 years as an administrative specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He worked in Saudi Arabia, Japan and Korea for many years.He married Suk Bin Chung on March 10, 1982, in Seoul, South Korea. She died Aug. 10, 2005.Survivors include four sons, Mark, Federal Way, Wash., Daniel, Honolulu, Benjamin, Salt Lake City, and Aaron, Lawrence; two brothers, Neil, St. Joseph, Mo., and Merle, Eudora; a sister, Norma Sellers, Thayer, Mo.; and six granddaughters.
