Berniece R. McCullough 1926 - 2005 Oskaloosa
Services for Berniece R. McCullough, 79, Oskaloosa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mrs. McCullough died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, in Topeka.She was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Dillon, the daughter of John and Sarah Horning Jacobson. She graduated form Ozawkie High School in 1943.Mrs. McCullough was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at the Elm Cafe for many years. She also worked at the ASCS office in Oskaloosa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Grayson Community Club, Colonial Club, Eagles Auxiliary of Oskaloosa and HDU.She married Alfred W. McCullough on June 1, 1948, in Oskaloosa. He died Dec. 15, 2003.Survivors include two sons, Timothy W. McCullough and Thomas J. McCullough, both of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Suzanne Norman, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Marlin "Pete" Jacobson, Valley Falls, and Kenneth "Jim" Jacobson, Topeka; three sisters, Pauline Newell, Oskaloosa, Lois Potts, Emporia, and Sarah Stillwell, Iona, Calif.; and six grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to Heartland Hospice, Diabetes Foundation or the church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
