Clare Getto 1935 - 2005 Pasadena, Calif.
Services for Clare Getto, 70, Pasadena, will be today at her home in Pasadena.Mrs. Getto died Saturday Oct. 1, 2005, in Pasadena, of pulmonary failure.She was born May 19, 1935, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of William and Virginia Donmoyer. She attended Michigan State and Kansas University. She lived in Lawrence, Kan., from 1958 to 1971 and from 1979 to 1983.Mrs. Getto worked as a catering manager at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence from 1979 to 1983. She was involved with local and state politics in the Lawrence area. She later worked in hotel sales from 1975 to 2003. She married Michael H. Getto in 1956, in Detroit. They divorced.Survivors include a son, Michael Getto, Chisinau Republic of Moldova; a daughter, Ginna Getto, Dallas; and a sister, Denise Huddle, Chatsworth, Calif.The family suggests memorials to the Pasadena Humane Society, 361 S. Raymond, Pasadena, CA 91105.
