Carolyn A. Bennett 1937 - 2005 Baldwin
Graveside services for Carolyn A. Bennett, 68, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hillsdale Cemetery in Hillsdale. Mrs. Bennett died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at her home.She was born May 27, 1937, in Lawrence, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy Chesbro Ayers. She graduated from Lawrence High School and attended beauty school.Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker. She later worked as a beautician for many years.She married Duane Hefner. They divorced. She married Everett Curtis Bennett II on July 1, 1990, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Bradley and Barry Hefner, both of the Kansas City area; a daughter, Dana Babcock, of the Kansas City area; five stepchildren; three grandsons; and 11 stepgrandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin.The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin 66006.
