Mary E. Harris 1927 - 2005 Eudora
A Mass of Christian Burial service for Mary E. Harris, 78, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Eudora. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo.Mrs. Harris died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Cleveland, the daughter of Theodore and Emma Kovatch Manchon.She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Theresa's Society. She also was a member of the Red Hatters.She married Charles Harris on May 1, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo.He survives of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Jean Marie Day, Bremen, and Rita L. Buddemeyer, Grain Valley, Mo.; a son, David E. Harris, Eudora; a sister, Edna Swatzell, Shawnee; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel, after which the family will meet friends until 8:30 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Theresa's Society at Holy Family Catholic Church, sent in care of the mortuary.Online condolences may be sent to <a href="mailto:info@warrenmcelwain.com">info@warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Harris.
