Elaine Pickert Kruse 1938 - 2005 Olathe
Graveside services for Elaine Pickert Kruse, 67, Olathe, will be 1 p.m. today at St. Boniface Cemetery in Scipio.Mrs. Kruse died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at her home.She was born March 13, 1938, in Richmond, the daughter of Fred and Hilda Hermreck Pickert.Mrs. Kruse graduated from Garnett High School in 1955.Since 1971, Mrs. Kruse had lived in Olathe where she worked as a clerk in the Johnson County Courthouse.She married Harold Kruse in 1957. He died in 2004.Survivors include two sons, David Kruse, Garnett, and Philip Kruse, Glen Ridge, N.J.; two daughters, Karen Forsyth, Olathe, and Julie Kruse, Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Ken Pickert, Grove, Okla., Gerald Pickert, Richmond, and Leon Pickert, Lawrence; two sisters, Rosalie Waner and Betty McArdle, both of Lawrence; and seven grandchildren.The family suggests memorial contributions to Cancer Action, 1831 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan., 66102.Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe is in charge of arrangements.
