Jacob H. Weber 1937 - 2005 Eudora
Services for Jacob H. Weber, 67, Eudora, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Atchison. Burial will follow in Sumner Cemetery, south of Atchison.Mr. Weber died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Oct. 28, 1937, in Atchison, the son of Jacob Peter and Alice Pauline Knowles Weber. He graduated from Effingham High School in 1955.Mr. Weber owned and operated Weber Construction Inc., for more than 40 years. He owned his own sprint car and participated in many races at Savannah Speedway. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus Council 723.He married Jimmie Mae Hundley on Nov. 30, 1957, in Atchison. She survives, of Atchison.Other survivors include two sons, Jeff, Atchison, and Rocky, Lawrence; three daughters, Becky Walker, Atchison, Genny O'Niones, Parker, Colo., and Susie Brown, Eudora; four brothers, Leonard, Kansas City, Mo., Leo and Robert, both of Atchison, and Edward, Plattsmouth, Neb.; five sisters, Evelyn Gray and Dorothy Weber and Helen Lee, all of Atchison, Ruth Ramsey, Wichita, and Jean Moranz, Mountain Home, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the fourth-floor Skilled Nursing Unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, sent in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, 208 N. Fifth St., Atchison 66002.
