Marvin Lora Lipp 1926 - 2005 Oskaloosa

Graveside inurnment services for Marvin Lora Lipp, 79, Oskaloosa, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.Mr. Lipp died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at the Hickory Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Oskaloosa.He was born June 13, 1926, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Lora M. and Lillian Ruth Lovejoy Lipp.Mr. Lipp was a Navy veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Morris and the U.S. Rescue during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Alford-Clarke Post No. 852 in Lawrence, where he served on the color guard.He married Shelley Copple on July 10, 1992, in Miami, Okla. She survives. He also was married to Betty Jane Allen, Berniece Williams, Joyce Cooley and Melba Leavey. He was divorced from each of them.Other survivors include six sons, Danny Allen, Toledo, Ohio, Joseph and Eric, both of Lecompton, and Michael, Brandon John and Brock Joseph, all of Lawrence; two daughters, Bobbie Jo Smith, Houston, and Cassandra Ruth Cain, La Vernia, Texas; three stepsons, Larry Leavey, Benny Leavey and John Leavey, all of Dallas; one stepdaughter, Claire Leavey, Dallas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to Children's Mercy Hospital, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.E-mail condolences may be sent to <a href="mailto:info@warrenmcelwain.com">info@warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Lipp.
