Virginia Rose Kramer Turner

Services for Virginia Rose Kramer Turner, 78, rural Oskaloosa, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa.Mrs. Turner died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at her home.She was born May 23, 1927, in Ozawkie, the daughter of Ernest and Blanche Mabel Hull Kramer. She graduated from Ozawkie High School in 1946. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a 4-H leader for more than 20 years and a member of Pleasant View Grange for more than 50 years. She served as a chaplain of the Kansas Grange from 1984 to 1994 and was a past noble grand of Ozawkie Rebekah Lodge, where she was a member for more than 50 years. She was president of the Kramer Family Reunion and a founding member of the Lucky Spur Saddle Club.She married James Francis Turner on June 2, 1946. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Dennis James Turner, Valley Falls, and James Edward Turner, Oskaloosa; three daughters, Theresa Jo Turner Burgess and Janet Kay Brunkan, both of Meriden; and Jamie Lynn Klenklen, Ozawkie; two sisters, Dorothy Cunningham, Topeka, and Betty Slawson, Nixa, Mo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to Jefferson County Hospice or the Lucky Spur Saddle Club, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
