Norman Dean Chambers

Services for Norman Dean Chambers, 78, Woodward, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ottawa.Mr. Chambers died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Enid, Okla.He was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Pomona, the son of Clyde J. and Eva Whitaker Chambers. He graduated from Pomona High School in 1944. He moved from Pomona to Woodward, Okla., after he retired.Mr. Chambers served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto and the Bendix Corp. in Kansas City. He was a self-employed plumber for many years. He also worked as a plumber at Baker University for 22 years and retired in 1993.He married Charlotte Miller in 1947. The divorced. He married Rita Ring Klick on Aug. 27, 1986, in Miami, Okla. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include three sons, Ricky N., Reno, Nev., Robert D., Burlington, and Bruce A., Ketchikan, Alaska; a daughter, Rhonda G. Moore, Baldwin; two stepsons, Jeff Klick, Mooreland, Okla., and Preston Klick, Manhattan; four brothers, Gail, Lane, Keith, Hayden, Idaho, Virgil, Ottawa, and Warren, Pomona; four sisters, Kay Massengale, Rantoul, Jean Clark and Marge Kitts, Ottawa, and Evelyn Martin, Overbrook; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.A son, Ronald D., died earlier.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to Woodlawn Cemetery, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
