Erma Elizabeth Long 1912 - 2005 Baldwin, Kan.
Services for Erma Elizabeth Long, 93, Baldwin, Kan., will be at 2 p.m. today at Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Chapel in Mountain Grove. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Texas County, Mo.Mrs. Long died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Baldwin Care Center.She was born May 23, 1912, in Mountain Grove, the daughter of Charles Augustus "Gus" and Virginia "Jenny" Light Gourley. She grew up and attended school in Mountain Grove, where she was a longtime resident. She moved to Eudora, Kan., seven years ago.Mrs. Long was a homemaker and helped operate her family dairy farm.She married Alva Lowell Long on June 3, 1933, in Mountain Grove. He died April 21, 1982.Three sons, Willis Long, Lyle Long and an infant son, and three grandchildren also died earlier.Survivors include two sons, Glen Long, Eudora, and Leroy Long, Independence, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
