Lonnie Gene Hunter

Services for Lonnie Gene Hunter, 24, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Lecompton.Mr. Hunter died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at his parents’ home in Lecompton.He was born Aug. 10, 1981, in Topeka, the son of Larry E. and Linda D. Hunter. He was a four-year baseball letterman at Perry-Lecompton High School, where he graduated in 2000. He attended Highland Community College, where he played baseball. Mr. Hunter was an assistant manager at Advance Auto Parts. He attended Lecompton United Methodist Church and was an original member of Throttle-Fed Motorcycle Club.Survivors include his parents, Lecompton; a brother, Lenn, Overland Park; paternal grandmother, Daisy Hunter, Topeka; and maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Jack and Joyce Swenson, Topeka.Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
