Services for Maurine I. Smith, 91, Baldwin, will be at 4 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas.Mrs. Smith died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Baldwin Care Center.She was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Shawnee, Okla., the daughter of Rosa Mae Alston and Walter R. Williamson. She graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas. She received a degree in home economics and elementary education from East Central University in Ada, Okla., in 1938. She moved to Baldwin in the early 1990s.Mrs. Smith taught school in the Texas panhandle area and El Paso, Texas, for more than 30 years. She was a member of Manhattan Presbyterian Church in El Paso, Texas, and attended First United Methodist Church in Baldwin. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Assn., and the National Education Assn.She married Floyd N. Smith on June 12, 1938, in McLean, Texas. He died March 30, 1997.Survivors include two daughters, Rose M. Hall, Kerrville, Texas, and Judy S. Neslage, Ennis, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Assn., or Baldwin Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, sent in care of Lamb Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
