Joan F. Standfield 1940 - 2005 Lawrence
Services for Joan F. Standfield, 64, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. Private inurnment services will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Lawrence.Mrs. Standfield died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born July 9, 1940, in Lawrence, the daughter of George Thomas and Frances Litz Faler. She was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. Mrs. Standfield worked for Dillons bakery and worked in food service for USD 497. She was also an artist and musician. She owned several businesses in Plattsmouth and Omaha, Neb., called Flying D Enterprises. She was member Hartland Community Church.Survivors include her mother, Frances Snavely, Lawrence; a son, Raymond E. DeRosia, Lawrence; a stepson, Jerome DeRosia, Bellingham, Wash.; two daughters, Pamela K. Eagles, Cypress, Texas, and Terri Lynn Brown, California; a stepdaughter, Judy E. Cox, Topeka; two brothers, George M. Faler and Steven Snavely, both of Lawrence; two sisters, Audrey Hahn and Sharon White, both of Lawrence; and four grandchildren.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday following the services.The family suggests memorials to the Palliative Care Unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, sent in care of the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com" target="_blank">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
