Denton L. Richey 1934 - 2005
Memorial services for Denton L. Richey, 70, Lawrence, will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield, Mo.Mr. Richey died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Bona, Mo., the son of James and Etta Worley Richey.He worked as a sales representative for several companies, including AL Wilson Chemical Co. He later worked for the Lawrence school district as a custodian.Mr. Richey was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was active in the Lawrence Senior Center.Survivors include a daughter, Christy Edwards, Lawrence.The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the mortuary.The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of the mortuary.Online condolences may be sent to <a href="mailto:info@warrenmcelwain.com">info@warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Richey.
