Katharine Florence Steffen 1940 - 2005 Mesa, Ariz.
Services for Katharine Florence Steffen, 64, Mesa, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses in Mesa.Mrs. Steffen died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, in Mesa.She was born Nov. 2, 1940, in Philadelphia, the daughter of Bernard and Alice McNichol. She was a longtime resident of Lawrence, Kan., and moved to Mesa in 1977.Mrs. Steffen was a homemaker.She married Ray Steffen. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include five sons, Richard Steffen, Surprise, Ariz., and Raymond Jr., Timothy, Ronald and Steven Steffen, all of Mesa; a daughter, Mary Steffen, Mesa; a stepfather, Kenneth R. Lee, Las Vegas; a sister, Laura Lee, Las Vegas; a brother, Robert Lee Jr., Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.Melcher's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of arrangements.
