David Arlin Baker

Services for David Arlin Baker, 65, Ozawkie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Mr. Baker died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.He was born Feb. 23, 1940, in Topeka, the son of Charlie and Betty Maxine Sharkey Baker. He graduated from Holton High School in 1958 and received his master’s degree in fine arts from Kansas State University in 1963.Mr. Baker served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1967. He worked as a sales coordinator for the Naval Resale System for 38 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.He married Eulavene Brown in December 1960. They divorced.Survivors include two sons, Chris, Meriden, and Michael D., Ozawkie; two daughters, Terri Lynn Baker, Jackson, N.J., and Alisa M. Baker, Manhattan; a brother, Donald J., Topeka; a sister, Rachel O’Sullivan, Topeka; and five grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the Jefferson West Athletic Department, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
