Rachael Mary Herynk 1923 - 2005 Garnett
Services for Rachael Mary Herynk, 82, Kincaid, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mildred.Mrs. Herynk died Monday, May 9, 2005, in Moran.She was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Minneapolis, Kan., the daughter of Clarence E. and Eliza Jane Stallings Grimes. She grew up in Liberty, Mo., and Bush City. She graduated from Kincaid High School in 1940 and received her teaching certificate from Pittsburg Teachers College.Mrs. Herynk was a teacher and homemaker. She was a member of Holy Angels Church, Altar Society, Parish Renewal Group, Kincaid Fair Assn. and Twentieth Century Club.She married John Rollin Herynk on Dec. 28, 1942, in Garnett. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Joe Herynk, Lawrence, and Jeff Herynk, Dillon, Colo.; three daughters, Ann Donaldson, Moran, Susie Huffman, Lawrence, and Angie Larson, Colony; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Janie Whitcomb, died in 1993.The family will receive friends after a wake service at 7 p.m. today at Farris Feuerborn Memorial Chapel in Garnett.The family suggests memorials to Allen County Hospice, sent in care of the chapel, P.O. Box 408, Garnett 66032.
