Marjorie Broat 1911 - 2005
Graveside services for Marjorie Broat, 94, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Broat died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at LakeView Manor in Lawrence.She was born March 8, 1911, in Lawrence, the daughter of Aubrey and Verdie Clark Marts. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence. Mrs. Broat was a lingerie clerk at Weaver's Department Store in Lawrence for many years. She was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lawrence.She married Robert Willard Broat on Feb. 2, 1930, in Topeka.
