Teresa Benoit 1927 - 2005 Damar
Funeral services for Teresa Benoit, 77, Damar, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Damar. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Damar.Mrs. Benoit died Friday, April 29, 2005, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.She was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Damar, the daughter of Louis Mose and Jeanette Thyfault.She was a lifelong resident of Damar, where she was a dairy farmer.She married Jerome Benoit on June 12, 1944, in Damar. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Steve Benoit, Blair, Neb., and John Benoit, Damar; four daughters, Marilyn Skolaut, Olmitz, Judy Charboneau, Hays, Thelma Berland, Damar, and Lydia Neu, Lawrence; a brother, Ronald Thyfault, Damar; a sister, Germaine Fry, Salina; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.A wake will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph church. Friends may also call from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Spencer-Stinemetz Chapel and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the church.The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Joseph Church Restoration Fund, in care of the funeral home, 522 N. Pomeroy Ave., Hill City 67642.
