Graveside services for Gordon G. Ellison, 77, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Cemetery near Ottawa.Mr. Ellison died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Olathe Medical Center.He was born May 21, 1928, in Franklin County, the son of Carl Andrew and Florence May Pingree Ellison. He grew up in the Greenwood Community and later moved to Kansas City, Mo. He moved back to the Greenwood Community in the mid-1970s.He graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1946 and attended Kansas State University. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in business administration and engineering in the early 1950s. He received a master's degree in business administration in the mid-1960s. Mr. Ellison served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in the late 1940s and was stationed in Japan. He worked in the engineering department of the Bendix Corp. in Kansas City, Mo., in the 1960s and 1970s. He worked in design and engineering for Trail Mobile Co. in Kansas City, Mo., in the 1970s and 1980s. He joined Phoenix-Skyhook of Ottawa in drafting and design in 1995, and retired in 2004. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and served on the Greenwood Cemetery Board for many years.Survivors include a sister, Beverly J.
