Doris Marjorie Fisher

Services for Doris Marjorie Fisher, 73, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.Mrs. Fisher died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Sewickley, Pa., the daughter of Ira Alden and Velma Irene Walbeck. She graduated from Coraopolis High School in 1949. She moved from Eudora to Lawrence in 1979.Mrs. Fisher worked as an office assistant, accounts receivable clerk and dispatch for the Kansas University Parking Department for 15 years and the state of Kansas for more than 19 years. She was a member of Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship and a former member of Order of the Eastern Star in McLouth and Tonganoxie.She married Floyd E. Lawrence on Oct. 12, 1955. They divorced. She married Ralph E. Fisher in December 1973. They divorced.Survivors include two sons, Kevin Eugene Lawrence, Springdale, and Keith Allan Lawrence, Pleasantville, Iowa; a daughter, Sheryl Ann Crawford, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Robert Spackman, Coraopolis, Pa., and Ira Spackman, Pittsburgh; and a sister, Evelyn Spackman, Coraopolis.Friends may call today at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to the University of Kansas Medical Center or Gideon’s Bible Society, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
