Blanche A. Kneen

Services for Blanche A. Kneen, 90, Winchester, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the New Williamstown Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Nortonville Cemetery.Mrs. Kneen died Saturday, June 25, 2005, at a Topeka hospital.She was born March 14, 1915, in Mayetta, the daughter of Jess and Birdie Miller Phillips. She had lived in Winchester since 1955.Mrs. Kneen worked as a nurse’s aide at the Jefferson County Geriatrics Center in Winchester for 25 years. She retired in 1982.Mrs. Kneen was a member of New Williamstown Assembly of God Church and the Ladies Missionary Group. She also was a member of the Winchester Senior Citizens and served as a volunteer at the Jefferson County Geriatrics Center. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Missionary Society.She married George Kneen on April 18, 1934, in Holton. He died Jan. 15, 1982.Survivors include two sons, Tom Kneen, Valley Falls, and Charles Kneen, Winchester; three daughters, Elaine Edmonds and Mary Sue Coppinger, both of Winchester, and Wanda Kneen, Elsmore; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.An infant son and a daughter, Jeanie Allen, died earlier.Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where the family will receive them from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
